Menominee Park 6:00 am - Noon at Shelter #1 and #2 6am-1:00pm: Big Sit: A unique way to bird watch! Often called a "tailgate party" for birders. Bring your binoculars if you have them. Spotting scopes will be set up. Bring a chair and sit awhile. Participate at any time for as long as you like. Beginners to experts are welcome. Watch, listen, learn about birds with Anita Carpenter. 7-10:30am: Bird Banding Demonstration by Dick Nikolai Beginning 8am: Bird Walks at 8:00, 9:30 & 10:30. 10am-1pm: Kid's Activities: Band-a-kid; eat like a bird; play the migration game; make binoculars and
go for a bird walk; create your own nature journal, and much more.
Live Birds of Prey with presentation at 10:30 by bird rehabilitator, Beka Weiss, Aves Wildlife Alliance
10am-1pm: Build a Wren House to take home (one per family). Only 50 houses available. Please consider a $5.00 donation. Thank you to WAVE Robotics students and Dave Misterek.
